Woensdag 25-05-2011 is ons
dochtertje Raffaella (roepnaam: Ella) geboren.
Door de ziekte van Cushing en alle operaties die nodig waren om te overleven
was ik vreselijk depressief geworden en ik verloor zelfs voor een grote deel
mijn persoonlijkheid. Bovendien maakte mijn lichaam geen vrouwelijke geslachtshormonen
(FSH & LH) meer aan. Dit had nog veel meer depressies tot gevolg. Ook het
schildklier hormoon moet ik nu slikken en heb de ziekte van Cushing ingeruild
tegen de ziekte van Addison, waardoor ik aangewezen ben op het gebruik van Hydrocortison
en fludrocortison. Serotonine word ook niet meer aangemaakt. Het was zelfs zo
erg dat een aantal van mijn katten gewoon doodongelukkig werden bij mij. Ik
moest zelfs afscheid nemen van hun. Ze hebben het elders beter - probeer dat
eens onder ogen te zien... Het was de hel voor mij. Maar toen werd ik totaal
onverwachts zwanger van Ella! De medici staan nog steeds voor een raadsel! In
Juli 2010 werden nog nul komma nul FSH en LH (vrouwelijke geslachtshormonen)
gemeten. En op 15 September 2010 (mijn verjaardag!) ben ik zwanger geworden!
Deze zwangerschap heeft mijn hormonen weer in balans gebracht en al mijn depressies
verdwenen als sneeuw voor de zon! Iemand zei heel doeltreffend dat deze zwangerschap
mij weer ge-reset heeft... Raphael heet de aartsengel die staat voor genezing
een heling.
Ieder
baby is een wonder, maar jij bent wel heel bijzonder!
Als een helend engeltje kwam jij zomaar uit de hemel zweven,
om mama en papa weer moed te geven.
En dat heeft jou je naam gegeven:
Raffaella
En voor het gemak roepen wij jou:

On 25-05-2011 our
baby girl Raffaella (we call her: Ella) was born.
Due to the Cushing disease and all surgeries neccessary in order to survive,
i became terribly depressive. I really lost my own personality. My body stopped
producing the Thyroid hormones, adrenaline, serotonine (without this you can
NOT feel happy anymore!), the growth hormone which you need for concentration
and the ability to digest fat. And FSH & LH (fertility hormones) where gone,
too. This caused lots of symptoms you get in an early menopause and also depressions...
Because they had to take away my adrenal glands, i now have the addison disease
and i will have to take cortico steroids for the rest of my live. Some of my
cats could not cope with my "new" - depressive personality and they
felt frstrated all the time. Fighting with each other and feeling miserable.
I had to find "better" homes for them... That was the hardest thing
to do - especially if you are already so depressive. Everyone who knows me,
knows that my animals mean everything to me and how i went through hell doing
this. But it was the best for them - they are as happy as they were before i
got ill. I would have been egoistic if i would have kept them in this situation
- the hardest thing to acknowledge that to yourself! In December 2009 i was
on the intensive care in a coma for 5 days due to the Cushing disease - after
3 days they all thought i would die, but somehow i got back...
In July 2010 they measured 0,0 FSH & LH in my blood - on September 15 (my birthday!) 2010 i must have become pregnant!!! The doctors and specialists couldn't believe it! Everyone was afraid that my body couldn't handle the pregnancy because i was so ill, but the opposite happened: the pregnancy hormones cured my mind! My body never can be fixed anymore, but i got my own self - my personality back! A friend said: this pregnancy had reset you!
Raphael is the name of the archangel who represents heeling, curing, love and fertility. That's why we called our girl Raffaella. Ella is Hebrews for: promise to God.
Every Baby is a miracle,
but you are just magical!
Like a heeling angel you came sudden floating from the sky,
to give back hope to mom and dad in a wink of an eye.
And that gave you your name:

And we will call you:
